2024 Canada $20 1oz Silver Maple Leaf Pulsating Forest UHR NGC PF70 FDOI Signed

  
The Royal Canadian Mint (RCM) made history in 2022 when they struck their iconic Sugar Maple Leaf design by the late Walter Ott in ultra high relief (UHR) for the first time. Resculpted by retired RCM Senior Engraver Susan Taylor, who worked under Walter Ott when she first started at the mint, the beloved design has been resculpted in detailed, natural, ultra high relief in a manner that stays true to the original design. And now in 2024, for the third year of issue, the RCM is adding another Canadian icon to the mix - the very forests that make up so much of Canada's landscape. Through the use of the same "pulsating" technology seen on the 2022 and 2023 Canada Peace Dollars, hundreds of micro-engineered, precision-engraved, sub-millimeterscale surfaces have been struck into the fields of these coins in such a manner that the boreal forests of Canada seem to rise from their surfaces as the coin is rotated.

Combined with 2024 being the first year that a monarch other than Queen Elizabeth II will appear on the Canada Maple Leaf, and it's clear 2024 is not a date that 2024 UHR Maple collectors should miss.
